Rural idyll in the middle of a residential area

Skillingaryds Gård is a rural oasis in the heart of a residential area. With proximity to nature, we offer a peaceful stay whether it is for one night or several days. Our farm has various accommodation options with a small cottage and two semi-detached cottages with a total of four apartments. Central location near the train station and the E4 makes us the perfect choice for your stay in Skillingaryd.

Presentation of Skillingaryds gård

The main building, barn and a small part of a field remain on the plot in addition to the cottages that we rent out. We also have some forest and arable land outside the community. A remnant from the old farm Skillingaryd that has been passed down for many generations to this day.

Hästhagen 1 and 2

We previously had horses on the small field. There we built the red semi-detached cottage with two apartments in 2009. It has been named Hästhagen (The Paddock).

Hönshuset

The yellow cottage, built in 2014, we have named Hönshuset (The Hen house) because there used to be a chicken coop there.

Brygghuset

Our old pantry warehouse (Brygghuset), built in 1801, has been carefully renovated and has become a living space for our guests. Much of the original details of the house have been preserved as much as possible, which has resulted in the house not being sufficiently soundproofed. However, it is a very cosy place if you enjoy historic homes. 

The apartment on the upper floor is called Magasinet (The Storehouse). There was previously storage for grain, among other things. The apartment on the ground floor is called Drängkammaren, (The chamber for farmworker) because the farm's farmhands used to live there.
